Tara Painting

White Tara Thangka Painting

White Tara is an emanation of Tara which is linked to life expectancy. It calls on her for the health, strength and durability. Its white color indicates purity, but also indicates that the full truth and undifferentiated. They bear the Bodhisattva ornaments. She has seven eyes: the usual two eyes, plus the holes in the centre of her forehead and eyes in her hands and feet. These indicate that she sees all the suffering and all the cries for help, including in the human world, even in the world of pain, the use of both ordinary and extraordinary psychological or resources of the observation. She performs day lotuses. White Tara seems to help more with the longer-term problems, especially problems in the field of physical or mental health. Sometimes it seems as if it is farther away, harder to contact at first. Then it is as if she sends us healing energy and strength and mystical insights.
