The word is etymologically Tara rooted in the word ’star’, but the most popular meaning of “Tara” is that it saves “, or” saviouress. “As a Buddhist deity popular in the Mahayana tradition - particularly in Tibet - Green Tara, Green is compassionate, wise, and quick action. If you need Tara and recites his mantra, it is said that Tara will not delay to help. Mythologically, Tara Green was born when the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara cried seeing all the suffering in the Universe. He cried to the point where a pond was born with her tears. On this pond grew a lotus flower blue, and on this flower seems like a beautiful woman. His color is translucent green light with a great energy. It has a deep blue lotus, a symbol of limits and gives refuge. The color green is said to symbolize his quick action, and also its role as a god of forests. Tara is usually depicted with his right leg extended, ready to come into action, while his left leg is bent in the Buddhist contemplative position. The right leg symbolizes compassion and wisdom left leg. They are two virtues which, when developed at the same time, lead to enlightenment.
