Amitaba or Amitabha is one of the five Meditation Buddhas in Nepal they are commonly worshiped as Dhyani Buddha or Pancha Buddha. Amitabha Buddha is the main Buddha from the family of Lotus in the direction west of red, which purifies the karma of desire. The animal is the peacock and its element is fire, their household is the perception. It represents the wisdom of discriminative Buddhas. His syllable is sacred in Tibetan Hri. His consort is Mamaki, which represents the ownership of which is solid.

Amitaba has a special commitment to the lighting of all beings and is known as the Buddha of the transfer of consciousness at the time of death, the passage through the bardo of death, and that the purpose of worship reach the infinite lighting or the Pure Land of Buddha, where the enlightenment is achieved.

The sketched design on the sand surface is colored as per individual’s choice. In the process of drawing these painting, sand is poured by the monks through a metallic funnel to create this artwork.

In general, “Buddha” means someone who has awakened from the depth of ignorance and sees things as they really are. A Buddha is a person who is completely free of all its defects and mental barriers. We have seen many people have become Buddha in the past, and many people hope to see many become Buddha in the coming days. There is nothing that Buddha does not know. Because he was awake from the sleep of ignorance and has removed all obstructions his mind, he knows all past, present and future, directly and simultaneously. In addition, Buddha has a great compassion which is completely impartial, embracing all living beings without discrimination.

It benefits all living beings without exception from various forms throughout the universe, and by bestowing his blessings on their minds. Thanks to receive blessings of the Buddha, all, even the smallest animals, sometimes develop peaceful and virtuous states of mind. Ultimately, through a reunion emanation of Buddha in the form of a spiritual guide, everyone will have the opportunity to enter the path of liberation and enlightenment. As the great Indian Buddhist scholar Nagarjuna said, there is no one who has not received the help of Buddha.

It is impossible to describe all the good qualities of a Buddha. A Buddha of compassion, wisdom and power are completely beyond conception. With nothing more to hide his mind, he sees all phenomena throughout the universe as clearly he sees a jewel in the palm of his hand. Thanks to the strength of his compassion, a Buddha spontaneously does whatever is conducive to others. He did not need to consider what is the best way to help living beings - he naturally and effortlessly into action in the most advantageous. Just as the sun does not need to motivate himself to shine the light and heat, but simply because light and heat are its very nature, so that Buddha does not need to motivate him - even the benefit of others, but simply because the recipient is very nature.

If you need Tara and recites his mantra, it is said that Tara will not delay to help. Mythologically, Tara Green was born when the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara cried seeing all the suffering in the Universe. He cried to the point where a pond was born with her tears. On this pond grew a lotus flower blue, and on this flower seems like a beautiful woman. His color is translucent green light with a great energy. It has a deep blue lotus, a symbol of limits and gives refuge. The color green is said to symbolize his quick action, and also its role as a god of forests. Tara is usually depicted with his right leg extended, ready to come into action, while his left leg is bent in the Buddhist contemplative position. The right leg symbolizes compassion and wisdom left leg. They are two virtues which, when developed at the same time, lead to enlightenment.

The mandala symbolism as the centre of the world shapes not only the cities, the temples and royal palaces but also the most modest human habitation. The address of primitive peoples is commonly built from a center post and put its people in contact with the three levels of existence: lower, middle and top. The housing for it is not just a shelter, but the creation of the world that he, imitating the gestures divine, is to maintain and renew. Thus, the mandala represents for the man inside his shelter where allows a reunion with God. A good example of typical Brazilian mandala, from the architecture, is the floor, the Cathedral of Brasilia.

In terms of visual arts, the mandala is always great profusion of color and represents an object or picture that helps in concentration to reach other levels of contemplation. There is a symbolism involved and a wide variety of designs depending on the origin.

Originally created in chalk, the mandalas are a sacred space of meditation. Currently are made with sand from India. Normally divided into four sections, aims to be an exercise in meditation and contemplation. The purpose of art in the Tibetan Buddhist culture is to strengthen the Four Noble Truths. The mandalas are considered important for the preparation of primers to Buddhism in order to prepare them for the study of the meaning of enlightenment.

The process of building a mandala is a form of meditation constant. It is a very slow process, with meticulous movements. The great benefit for people who contemplate from the mandala is the fact that the imagined mentally constructed a detailed three-dimensional structure.

In the process of building a madala, art becomes a religious ceremony and religion will be transformed into art. When a mandala is completed it represents itself as an extremely colorful construction. After the cycle is cut and the sand is usually deposited in water. Only one party is saved and offered to participants.

A monk begins the destruction circular drawing lines with his finger, then spread sand and put in an urn. When the sand is all collected, they erase the lines that served to guide the construction and depose the sand in the waters of the river.

He personifies the Knowledge, as well as the absolute truth that the world on which we operate. It is therefore particularly revered by those who engage in the study. Manjushri represents the Knowledge and Wisdom of God.

His attributes are the sword, a double-edged weapon of knowledge that cut the sails of ignorance, and the sacred text of the Prajnaparamita a book containing the teachings of Buddha on the ultimate nature of things.

Ignorance which is mainly question here is the true nature of things, blindness that prevents us both to distinguish what is real from what is not and to understand the interrelationships that govern any event. Ignorance is still compared to the darkness which is why the tip of the sword of Manjushri is surrounded by a flame whose light dispels the darkness. The complete obliteration of the veil of ignorance is the state of Buddha, with the “omniscience”.

Milarepa is also famous for having composed “one hundred thousand songs.” At the end of his life, he transmitted his teachings and had several disciples.

Padmasambhava Thangka or Thanka Painting

Padmasambhava was born in the eighth century he is the king of contemporary Tibet Trisong Detsen (755-797). Padmasambhava is one of the few founders of Tibetan Buddhism whose historical existence is proven, although his magical and spiritual deeds make it almost mythical in the eyes of Westerners, while remaining true to the eyes of Tibetans.

It marks especially the doctrine of the Nyingmapa School whose followers beleive him as the “second Buddha”. His mission was to tame the demons premises or, more precisely, the forces of nature that they embodied. Around the year 750, he translated many Sanskrit texts in the Tibetan language, and he assigns the writing of several books doctrinal. The tradition has assumed extraordinary magical powers. His character took over the centuries an increasingly legendary; even today he is revered in the Himalayan country under the name of Guru Rinpoche “Precious master”.

Born from the legend in the country of Orgyen, north-east of Kashmir, Padmasambhava was soon to control all existing sciences at the time. He entered the world of legend in the eighth century by introducing Buddhism to Tibet so far enthusiast Bon and religion of Nature. The activities of Padmasambhava found their culmination in the construction of Samye Monastery (775).

As in any Tibetan artistic productions thangka achieves and remains mostly anonymous, borrowing precision and delicacy, but devoid of creativity. The painter does not seek to demonstrate originality, but rather to illustrate the emanation of Buddha and deities according cannons very precise. Several painters, aides and apprentices sometimes work together on a single canvas. In this case, some are dedicated solely to the portraits, while others illustrate the landscape.

To prepare for a thangka painting, the artist imbues a mixture of animal glue or gum plant, and powdered chalk and then left to dry. Once dry, the fabric is polished with a shell or a polished stone to give it a smooth surface. The grid and axes of symmetry, the contour of the characters or subjects are designed to represent the charcoal or China ink on the back of the canvas, according to dimensions codified by the religious tradition. The painter sometimes also uses layers or pontiff provided by the printings of the monasteries. The decal figures by a light sifting of charcoal and determine the composition of the ink.

The painter then determines the color of each element. The colors come from minerals or organic compounds such as arsenic for yellow, indigo or lapis lazuli for blue, cochineal for the red chalk on white, for malachite green. Gold is used for the retail clothing or emblems of deities. These materials are crushed and mixed with water, glue and lime to confer resistance to the greatest paintings.
Since the nineteenth century, colors chemical import additional or alternative to natural products. These colors, much more vivid, easily recognize and identify which thangka recent vintage.
The colors are applied starting with landscapes and ending in the face of deities.

An astrologer sets all stages of carrying out the work until its completion, known as “opening eyes”, phase during which the painter trace the pupil of the eye of the central deity, thus the thangka which that moment becomes an object of veneration.

Finally, the inclusion of a mantra on the back of the canvas provides the finishing touches to the sacralization of painting as an object invested with a religious power.

After his consecration, the thangka is surrounded by a montage of two strips of silk brocade or the contrasting colors yellow, red or blue called “rainbow”. A lightweight fabric is sewn on the stick best to protect the painting when it is rolled.

Some currents of Tibetan Buddhism consider Vajradhara as dharmakaya and Vajrasattva as sambhogakaya source of tantras (while sutras come from the mouth of Nirmanakaya Shakyamuni). The lessons “perfect” dzogchen and mahamudra come directly from Vajradhara. However, others believe that it is not really the Supreme Adibuddha, since the latter, without shape or movement cannot teach. They therefore consider Vajradhara as a manifestation of genuine dharmakaya Samantabhadra. According to a tantra, Vajradhara was produced as a circle of light by Vairocana as it meditated on Samantabhadra in the vajra or “land of diamond.”

White Tara is an emanation of Tara which is linked to life expectancy. It calls on her for the health, strength and durability. Its white color indicates purity, but also indicates that the full truth and undifferentiated. They bear the Bodhisattva ornaments. She has seven eyes: the usual two eyes, plus the holes in the centre of her forehead and eyes in her hands and feet. These indicate that she sees all the suffering and all the cries for help, including in the human world, even in the world of pain, the use of both ordinary and extraordinary psychological or resources of the observation. She performs day lotuses. White Tara seems to help more with the longer-term problems, especially problems in the field of physical or mental health. Sometimes it seems as if it is farther away, harder to contact at first. Then it is as if she sends us healing energy and strength and mystical insights.

Yantra literally mean an instrument or a machine. Yantra mythologically is a symbolic representation of the appearance of a god usually the mother or goddess Durga. It is a matrix of interconnected geometric figures, circles, triangles and floral patterns that form a fractal pattern of elegance and beauty. Although drawn in two dimensions a yantra must represent a sacred object tri-dimensional. The Tri-dimensional yantras are becoming incredibly common. Although the yantra is a tool used in meditation by serious researchers both spiritual and sculptors of classical tradition, its shakti is also available for researchers to start with sincere devotion and good intentions.

It is believed that yantras mystics reveal the basis of domestic forms of the universe. Their role is to be Yantras, symbol of cosmic revelation of truth.
